Not only spring flowers in parks but also young talented filmmakers attending film schools are blooming in the screening room this year. It has become a tradition that students from FAMU in Prague, FAMO in Písek, UTB in Zlín and VŠMU in Bratislava introduce their films and take part in the film competition in front of the jury that is made of you – the viewers. Homeland Of Silence (VŠMU)

After the recent attacks in a small easter european village, everyone stops talking to Ivanka, as if she was the one who caused the conflicts. Looking for modesty in people and in relationships, Ivanka discovers the odd feeling of losing her most loved ones. The only person that still talks to her, and sometimes too much, is her younger sister. Will the power of sisterhood and friendship help Ivanka survive the strangest days of her life?

Amori Dolori (UTB)

Magda and her twenty-one year old daughter Rozárka go, as usual, to visit grandmother. They are hopeful that their visit will help them find again that feeling of closeness which has disappeared from their relationship. The aging grandmother and her female pet Emilka, are not overly happy to welcome the intruders into their peaceful life. While each woman resolutely defends her area of interest, Emilka is ready to love everyone in the same way and the century-old house is awed by how some people happily spin in continuous circles.

Everything Will Be OK Again (FAMU)

Martina is living a contented life in retirement. But when her son visits her and confesses the extended suicide he is now on his way to complete, she must absorb the information and decide what to do. Closed off from the outside world, she processes her changing feelings and role: is she a victim, an accomplice, or a parent protecting her child?
